Gabriela Sierra

I’m Gaby, a contemporary jewelry designer and the founder of Gabriela Sierra Jewelry. I studied Industrial Design and worked designing urban furniture, where I developed a strong interest in structure, proportion, functionality, and the relationship between objects and the body. I’m currently studying Jewelry Making at EMSOM "École des métiers du Sud-Ouest de Montréal " where I continue to develop my technical skills and deepen my understanding of jewelry as both an object and a form of expression.

Jewelry is my language. I’ve always found it easier to express ideas through materials than through words, creating pieces that begin as quiet observations and transform into bold, wearable forms. My background in industrial design and urban furniture continues to shape the way I approach jewelry, through strong silhouettes, geometric compositions, and architectural lines that often carry a brutalist sensibility while remaining playful and expressive.

I’m interested in questioning how value is assigned to materials. Through glass, pearls, silver, and vibrant stones, I explore contrasts between what is traditionally considered precious and what is often overlooked. Glass becomes faceted and luminous, pearls gain unexpected presence through scale and composition, and color becomes an active element that shifts with movement and light.

Every creation is handcrafted by me in Montreal, Canada, using 925 sterling silver, natural gemstones, and glass.

Through each piece, I hope to offer the wearer a small transformation a quiet source of confidence, a reminder to take up space, embrace individuality, and perhaps even a small superpower they can carry with them.

My jewelry has been part of exhibitions around the world  from Mexico and Italy to London, Vancouver, and New York ,including:
